31 weeks!

I can't believe that Christmas is a week away. Where has this year gone?? We have less than 9 weeks until my due date. My guess is that Lilah will make her appearance sometime between Valentine's Day and my birthday. We are getting close to being done with her done with the nursery. Brian is going to put some corner shelves up this weekend and then we will hang the pictures on the wall. My mom is making the valance. We want to get a little chandelier to hang in the corner above the glider and we still need to get a ceiling fan. I also would like to get a rug to put in front of the crib. The goal is to be completely done by mid February just in case Lilah decided to make an early appearance. We have our hospital tour scheduled for 12/28 and our newborn care class scheduled for 1/11. I also need to tweak my birth plan and little bit and make my list for the hospital bag so we don't forget anything. The other huge thing we still need to figure out is if I will be taking 8 or 12 weeks off after she is born. I really want to take the full 12, but we just don't know if it will work out. That decision also effects when we need to get daycare started. There is just so much to think about over the next few weeks!

30 weeks!

I had an appointment with the perinatalogist today. I was referred by my OB due to a cyst on my left ovary. They were not to concerned about it, just wanted a second evaluation by a specialist. I knew they would need to do an ultrasound to check it out and I was hoping that we would get to peek at Lilah. It was great! They did a 30-45 minute ultrasound and most of it was on her :) She apparently really likes to suck on her fingers and is super-interested in her toes. That is what she did just about the entire time lol. It was so different than the other ultrasounds I have had. My OB's office is so quick. The ultrasounds are usually only like 5 minutes. Even the anatomy scan was only about 10 minutes. They did another full anatomy scan today and said everything looked great. Lilah is measuring right on target for 30 weeks and she weighs around 3lbs 4oz right now. Her heart rate was 141bpm. It was 146bpm the last two times we heard it. The doctor said that the cyst was just a simple fluid filled cyst from me getting pregnant and he thinks it will go away after I have the baby. I will have it re-checked 6 weeks after delivery and if it hasn't gone down on its own they may want to do laproscopic surgery to remove it. Here is the new picture from today. A profile shot (finally!) of Lilah sucking on her fist:

26 weeks!

We finished painting the nursery last weekend. It looks so great! Brian did a wonderful job. I helped where I could, but he had to do 98% of the work because of the fumes. I can't believe I am 26 weeks pregnant already. Only 14 weeks left. The time is going by SO fast! February will be here and we will get to meet our baby girl :) I am also pretty excited because my baby shower is next weekend! I am really looking forward to it. I can't wait to see everyone!!

24 weeks!

Brian did a lot of work on Lilah's closet this weekend. We got everything moved out of there and he painted the inside the lighter pink that we are using in her room. He also put in a custom shelving unit. It is just great! I washed all of the clothes we have gotten so far in Dreft and hung them all up. It really feels like a little girls room now :) Brian also put a built-in bookshelf next to the closet. He still needs to put the outer trim on, but it looks great too! Here are a couple of pictures.

23 weeks!

Lilah has become quite the squirmy baby! It is like someone flipped her "on" switch lol. Over the last week I have been feeling her at all different times of day. It is such a strange feeling, but is so amazing! It puts a smile on my face every time I feel her move. I really can't wait until Brian can feel her move.

We are trying to figure out how we are going to paint the nursery. I think we have finally settled on a paint scheme, we just have to get to right two shades of pink now. You would not believe how hard that is to decide lol. We are also thinking of eliminating a piece of furniture we have in there. If we do, I can have the furniture laid out the way that I originally wanted. It will also make her room feel bigger.

22 weeks!

Looks like were are going to have a Lilah Rose!!!

She finally decided to uncross her legs today and show us the goods lol. At first she didn't want to cooperate again. They ended up doing a quick vaginal ultrasound because everything was facing that direction. As soon as the screen came up, there it was! I knew it was girl from the very beginning!! They said everything looks great. She is measuring right on the mark for 22 weeks. She weighs 1lb 1oz.

My glucose test results were good, no gestational diabetes. The doctor was very happy with my weigh gain thus far, only 9 pounds. If I keep this up I should finish out at my goal of no more than a 20 lb weight gain!
